Spring haiku sprang to my mind
“Whatever,” she said

This terrible poem was “inspired” by my snarky attitude toward Chelsea Ann Owens and her terrible poetry contest.

The only thing I always get right is the syllables. 5/7/5 🙂

5/7/5 is a Western take on the traditional haiku. You don’t have to follow that pattern at all. In Japanese, it’s 17 onji or “sound symbols”. They are different from syllables. You’re closer to 12 syllables or 8-12 words in English. 😉
