Pontification #Na/GloPoWriMo Day 15-2019

Prompt: “Today, I’d like to challenge you to write your own dramatic monologue. It doesn’t have to be quite as serious as Browning or Shakespeare, of course, but try to create a sort of specific voice or character that can act as the “speaker” of your poem, and that could be acted by someone reciting the poem.”

———–

too much stuff
makes me frown
turns my world
upsidedown

gotta store it
don’t dare drop it
do I love it?
can I lose it?

am I master or slave
of the stuff that I crave
can I be brave enough to
send my stuff to its grave

love it or
leave it
keep it or
pitch it

I have a choice
to use my voice
when the chains come off
I will rejoice

    1. Oh they are thrown off!! Or were, then we moved into the family home. So much has left. More needs to go. But at least now we look in closets and can see and find things. There are even empty shelves! 😉
