Uncomfortable-Are You?

I am sitting with and examining why I think I should be comfortable? Why do I avoid the discomfort. I always prided myself in speaking up, but now realize I don’t speak up near enough because it is uncomfortable. What privilege!

Life is not comfortable.

Black people are not comfortable.

I am not comfortable making you uncomfortable.

I would rather stay silent.

Silence is complicity (not golden).
