Wow… Ekphrastic PhotoPrompt…. What is anEkphrastic poem? It explores art by describing it. (At least that is my interpretation.)

I wrote a haiku. It is not really describing the photo. So I guess I need to write a HAIGA? This is my first attempt.

Mushrooms can be beautiful and grow in unexpected places. This mushroom has a white stem and an orange flat top. The mist frames the photo. Is this mushroom eatable, or is it poisonous. If one is allergic, all mushrooms are poisonous, therefore, sometimes, very hard to appreciate their existence.

Well done, Ruth. You’ve written a haibun which is prose accompanied by a haiku poem! The haiga is the one where your haiku or senryu appears on the image. I like what you did! ❤
