Colleen has invited us to write an Ekphrastic poem using the following Photo prompt below. My ekphrastic poem will be written in Shandorma form (3/5/3/3/7/5). I’m not sure this qualifies as ekphrastic, but I like it as is.

“Seeing in a mirror dimly”***
Reflections
Dreams of future self
Strolling forth
Through meadows
Aware of fauna and beast
The circle of life

Chel Owens, we use this site to count our syllables: https://www.writerlywords.com/syllables/. Haiku, Senryu, and Cinquain are the easiest forms to learn. You just have to join in and try. Here is a link to the cheat sheet: https://wordcraftpoetry.com/tanka-tuesday-poetry-challenge-cheat-sheet/. The new challenge is up tomorrow. I hope to see you. ❤
