Dandelions Foretell
Wind blows fallen leaves
Once buried by snow
Dandelions springing up among the dead leaves
Yellow dots all the lawns
Spring is almost here
*
They say spring has arrived
Trees are budding out
Flowers are blooming, color is everywhere
No more drab dull landscapes
Love birds are singing
*
What’s tickling my nostrils
Why do my eyes itch
Pollen, dust, and mold are floating sight unseen
Wait, what’s that white fluff stuff
Future dandelions

This was delightful! I enjoyed how the last stanza flipped so nicely from bad to good!
