Today’s prompt from NaPoWritMo is to take a chapter title and write a poem about it. I chose the book, Check Your Privilege, Lean into the Discomfort (Myisha T. Hill 2020). The chapter title that caught my attention is : ‘Once Was Colorblind, Now I See.’
These #senryu are my response. I’m using the 3/5/3 form.

This is wonderful, Ruth. I fear too many are willfully blind and simply choose to continue to be so. Sadly.

thank you Carol! And so many are blind and really don’t know that they are!

It’s true. It makes me so sad that so many are so unaware of the suffering all around them.
