This is my submission for #TankaTuesday!
I will write a Ravenfly, because I like the name! A Ravenfly “consists of two quatrains and a couplet with syllables of 8/7/8/7 8/7/8/7 10/10
rhyming abab cdcd ee.” This comes from Poetscollective.org

staring at the glittering sky
wide awake I could not sleep
comets streaked from way up high
memories I‘ll forever keep
longing for some fairy magic
I conjured dreamy visions
they’re always truly nostalgic
and great for conversations
head on my pillow, curtains opened wide
eyes finally closed with fairies close by

A neighbor (who has since moved) had a lovely fairy garden in her front yard for her grands…
So many lovely vignettes – It would be nice to imagine them come to life under the safety of darkness… or even during the day under all the hidden foliage 😀

I have a metal fairy on a stick… I need to repaint her. She’s amid other things in my front flower bed 😀
