Tanka Prose should be easy for me, yet this week I struggled until I revised my tanka.
It’s the fifth Tuesday of the month! This is our chance to work with a specific syllabic poetry form. Take this opportunity to learn more about the particular form. This week’s form is: tanka prose

Feisty Lady
Auntie M was one of a kind. Never married, a home body until she retired, then, she travelled the world. She lived with us 3.5+ years. She was self-sufficient almost to the end. She lived 100 years and 10 months.
born an introvert
ruled by structure and order
pristine and proper
yet fiercely independent
stubborn to the end of time
