Even though I am not following the napowrimo.net prompts, I am attempting to write more poetry especially since this is poetry month.
I started an Ottava Rima about vision, yesterday. “Ottava rima are 8 lines with an abababcc rhyme scheme, most commonly written in iambic pentameter (or 10-syllable lines).”
This is the #11 of the scavenger hunt challenge by Muri.
the eyesight is complicated for sure
but my vision is excellent, I see
I see things that others wish for, that’s pure
beauty is seen in the green weeds and leaves
imagination soars with birds, a cure
faeries dance with joy in rain and breeze
tree canopies shade from the sun and wind
angels hover whispering truths in kind

Ruth this one is a delight to read and I’m impressed you did both prompts!! The things you see are what vision (and imagination) can show us if we but look!!! Bravo!
