My Take – TankaTuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 287, 8/30/22, #ShareYourDay

This week Colleen has challenged us to write a syllabic poem and photo to share our day.

☀️ A Slice of My Day ☀️

It’s raining

Every morning I sit in my happy place. This is one view from my chair. Here is my haiku.

it started to rain
whilst I sat outside, happy
hummingbirds love it

Thank you for reading!

      1. I don’t think it’s necessary to choose the words winter, spring, summer, or fall in your poem. If it works, then they’re fine to use. I use many of the kigo words from the Japanese list because the words work for me in Michigan. Think of words that suggest a season. Flowers and trees, even bushes, are an easy way to suggest a season.
